The Mental Health Foundation wanted a new website to showcase their new outlook on trusted mental health information in Aotearoa, New Zealand. With such a huge collection of content the challenge became how to reduce the clutter and still effectively communicate the important messages to the target audiences.
An emphasis on New Zealand imagery would be integral to the new look and create a new direction for the Mental Health brand. The website was broken into two distinct sections to help make the site easier to navigate for users. The first section focused on how to stay well and the other on ways to get help. Working closely with copywriters from Healthy Communications we were able to figure out the different resources that would be needed to filter out information to website users.
The way the images have been built into the website makes them integral to its success; they are real and make exactly the right impact. This is not an easy thing to achieve, and the site is already drawing positive comments from web visitors.
